GGMUG All-Star MIX Review
If you couldn't make it to MIX10, then you missed a LOT of new technologies coming down the pike from Microsoft.
Don't worry, however, because GGMUG has your back! We are bringing together an all-star team of MIX attendees to catch us all up on what's coming this year!
The agenda looks like this:
- Silverlight 4 and Windows Phone Series 7 - Corey Shuman
- UX (user experience) - Sean Gerety
- Keynote, HTML 5, ASP.Net MVC2, and OData - James Ashley
Microsoft rolled out a boat load of new stuff at MIX, and I'm looking forward to the recap by Corey, James and Sean!
The meeting will be in the usual time and place: 4/8/2010 - 6:30 PM in Room 401 of Building 100 at Gwinnett Technical College. Everyone is welcome!
GiveCamp
So you know what CodeCamp is, right? Well here is a new one you should know about: GiveCamp.
In a nutshell it is a chance for developers to get together for a weekend and crank out some code for local charities.
GiveCamps for Atlanta and Augusta are in the planning stages, and I'd like to see GGMUG field one or more 6 person teams. We may have some students from Gwinnett Tech to help round out the teams.
If you think you would be interested in participating, just send me an email and let me know.
If you are interested in helping organize the event, please let me know that too.
As with all such events, the first hurdle is finding a venue. We are pursuing several possibilities, but if you know of a company, school, etc. that could host an event with around 100 people for a Friday through Sunday round-the-clock schedule, please let me know that too!
I look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday!
